Antonia (Bortolussi) Braida, 97, of Danbury, wife of the late Batista Braida, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 15th. She was born in Italy on November 30, 1914, daughter of the late Luigi and Cecelia Bortolussi. Antonia was a very loving and kind hearted woman. She loved her nephews and treated them as her own. She also loved animals, especially her pets. She will be sadly missed by her three nephews, Walter L. Zancan and his wife, Carrie of Hamilton, OH, Dennis D. Zancan and his wife, Anna with whom she made her home in Danbury, and Dominic J. Zancan and his wife, Maura of Brookfield; her great nieces and nephews, Sara, Caroline and Walter Zancan; Dennis Zancan and his fiancé Shellie and Alex Zancan; Bethany Norton and her husband Ken and Brenden Zancan; three great great nieces, Emma, Liliana and Mackenzie. Funeral InformationA Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 20th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, January 19th between the hours of 5 and 7 PM. Donations Information
