Irene D. Kuras, age 76, an absolutely amazing women, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her loving and adoring family. She was the loving wife of Stanley Kuras for 50 incredible years, where they traveled far and wide and enjoyed life together. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on October 28, 1935, daughter of the late Stanislaw and Anastazia (Olszewska) Antczak. Irene enjoyed fishing, crafts, hitting the slots at Mohegan Sun and endless shopping with her two daughters. She was happiest spending time and spoiling her devoted grandchildren. Irene faced her illness with humor and determined stubbornness and with sheer will-power was able to enjoy her granddaughters wedding just 3 weeks ago.

She is survived by her children: Jeffrey Anderson and his wife Elaine of Berlin, MD., Susan Blount and her husband Robert of Perth Amboy, NJ., Gregory Kuras and his wife Theresa of Brick, NJ., Lisa Fucci and her husband Richard of Thomaston, CT., Alison Cheh and her husband Kevin of Oxford, CT, ten loving grandchildren and four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Steven Kuras.

Arrangements in care of Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Services will be private.
