Anthony "Tony" Cassio

Anthony “Tony” Cassio, 62 of Danbury Connecticut died on Tuesday, February 26th at Yale, New Haven Hospital. He was born on June 29th, 1951, son of the late Louis and Phyllis Cassio.
He was the IT director for CBP in Stamford, CT which was more than just his place of employment, but also a second family to him.
Tony will be missed by his wife and high school sweetheart, Patricia Reale Cassio, and their children; Amanda Cassio, Anthony and Jessica Cassio (and their children Lucas, Ellie and Clara); Jillian and Ernest Rummo (and their daughter Giuliana).
Tony is also survived by his father-in-law Frank Reale along with his wife Judy. He also leaves behind his brothers Robert and Louis. He will also be missed by his best friends, his brother-in-laws, George, Frank and Bob Reale, along with his sister-in-laws Kate and Janet Reale. He is also leaving behind 22 nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister June Shaw, his mother-in-law Martha Reale, and his sister-in-law Marie Reale. He also leaves behind countless life-long friends, his chosen family.
A special thanks goes out to all of the wonderful doctors, nurses and PCAs of
Yale New Haven Hospital, that fought so valiantly with him these past few difficult months.

Funeral Information

The family will receive friends between the hours of 1 and 4 PM with a service at 4 on Sunday, March 3rd at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.

Donations Information

In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Tony’s name to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in honor of his late sister-in-law Marie. Click below to make a donation.
